The HOSPITALITY MANAGER must manage the café &venue

This role covers a wide scope of experience and has a lot of potential for someone who really wants to ‘get stuck in’! 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Matric / Grade 12.
  • Tertiary Hospitality Qualification.
  • Must have at least 5 years of experience working in the Hospitality industry!
  • Must be hardworking and willing to work two weekends per month and after hours when necessary.  (with time off in the week)
  • Familiar with all duties and procedures in Reservations/Front Office.
  • MS Office (Word, Excel and Email) is essential!
  • Must be a good leader with management skills, as well as a team player!
  • Must have enough knowledge and experience to work independently.
  • Must be good with administration.
  • Must be a ‘’people person’’!
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Control costs.
  • Attention to detail and willing to go the extra mile.
  • Must be able to assist with marketing of functions.

 

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have a valid driver’s license and own vehicle.
  • Must reside within Paarl, Stellenbosch, Brackenfell, Kuilsriver region.
  • MUST HAVE A HOSPITALITY BACKGROUND!
  • Must have previous venue experience!

REMUNERATION:

  • R 12 000 – R15 000 per month (dependent upon experience)

COMMENCEMENT:

  • As soon as possible.

trail centre customer relations manager

 

Job Description:

Manage Dirtopia Trail Centre including Sales and Bike Rentals.

Opening, closing and cash-up procedures for the shop (and the Café next door)

First port of call for all customers/tourists arriving at the Trail Centre

Answer telephones and enquiries from customers and tourists

Data capturing and office admin

 

Requirements

 

The ideal candidate:

Proficient in English and Afrikaans

MS Office (Word, Excel and Email) is essential!

Own reliable transport

Typing speed of 40+ wpm

Detail oriented and thorough

Can perform under stress and as part of a team

Must be a ‘people person’ with good communication skills

Must have at least three years’ experience in a similar field.

Reside in Stellenbosch, Paarl or Kuilsrivier/Brackenfell area, NON NEGOTIABLE!

 

Schedule and Remuneration

The shop is open from Monday – Sunday (08:00 – 17:00) – this is a full time position and you will be required to work at least two weekends per month, with time off during the week.

 (Please do not apply for this position if you are not able to work the required days and hours)

 

Must be available on Public holidays if needed and also during the holidays.

 

Remuneration:  Starting from R8000 to R12000 per month depending on experience.
