TIMING: Results / timing is optional. If you have a (red) Trail Tag from previous events, please bring it along and wear on right wrist. Runners also have the option of renting a temporary (blue) Amarider Trail tag at R25 and will be given to you at registration with your race number. The temporary tag will be taken off at the finish line. Winners are 'caught' at the finish line and remember that late entries or any changes on the day of the event (at registration) will only show on the results one or two days after the event.

TRAIL TAG:

1. Only run with your own TrailTag
2. Please return your rental tags at the finish line.
3. The reader is powerful enough to read through arm warmers etc.

Runners must stay on the marked trail. Listen to the MC at the start and follow yellow boards. Do not turn unless there is an arrow. Follow signs in front of you! Race numbers must be visible at all times, especially at the finish line.

Please do not litter! We also urge you to not leave valuables in your vehicle. We can keep car keys/valuables at registration for you.

Blooming Trail Run

A last splash of spring before summer takes over!

Swap the year-end rush for fresh air, colourful slopes and a morning on the trails at Morgenhof Wine Estate. The Blooming Trail Run rounds off November with scenic Winelands running, rewarding climbs and singletrack worth getting out of bed for.

Whether you’re chasing a fast time or taking a moment to enjoy the views, put a little spring in your step before the festive season begins!

Late entries will be available on event day at an additional fee. The under-18 discount applies to pre-entries only; children entering on the day pay the normal late-entry fee.

The trails

Explore the mountain slopes above Stellenbosch on Dirtopia’s hand-built singletrack, designed by Meurant Botha. Expect a mix of uphill climbs, flowing descents, technical sections and open stretches, with forest paths, rocky terrain and grassy sections keeping things interesting.

The climbs take some effort, but the Winelands views and time out in nature make every step worthwhile.

Timing and results

Timing is optional and uses an Amarider Trail Tag, available to rent for R25. If you own a tag, remember to bring it.

Results will be available at www.trailtag.co.za. Results for late entries and entry changes will be updated by Tuesday afternoon after the event.

At the finish

Every finisher receives a medal, with an on-route refreshment station offering energy drink and fruit, and a refreshing cup of Coke waiting at the finish.

Morgenhof’s restaurant will serve coffee from registration time and food afterwards. Wine tasting will also be open after the run, so settle in and enjoy the estate.

Stay for prize-giving and the lucky draw, with Morgenhof wine, Sportsmans Warehouse vouchers and SOX footwear up for grabs.
