HALLOWEEN DAY TRAIL RUN
Presented by Sportmans Warehouse

DATE: Saturday, 1 November 2014
VENUE: Dirtopia Trail Centre, Delvera Farm, on R44 about 10 km from Stellenbosch
REGISTRATION: From 06h30 at Dirtopia Trail Centre

DISTANCES & ROUTE DESCRIPTIONS: The short distances are designed to encourage newcomers, family and friends to participate and the longer distances have great flowing singletrack with a reward of magnificent Winelands views and Table Mountain in the distance.

5km – Jeeptrack at the bottom of the farm and it circles amongst the vineyards. Walkers welcome and easy enough for trail run novices. No timing, medal or waterpoint. Enter on the day.

7.5km loop – This green route has jeep track and three fun singletrack sections. One refreshment station about half way at Pepper Tree, is also the start of the downhill just below Klapmutskoppie.

12.5km route – This blue route will give you more of a work-out and climbs on jeep track amongst the vineyards towards Klapmutskop. About 8km of some singletrack, but our route director will try to leave all the scary ones out! The trail meets the last part of the green route just before the refreshment station.

15km route – the same as the 12.5km with an extra 3km singletrack section to the top of the Koppie that is rocky and steep - for fit runners only! A self-help watercan about halfway and a refreshment station about 4km from the finish. We suggest runners take their own water too. Be aware of unseen Halloween visitors, as legend has it on Delvera...

COST: Pre-entries (closed on the 28th of Oct):
5km – R60 (no medal & no waterpoint), 7.5km – R75, 12.5km – R95, 15km – R105

Late entries (taken on event day):
5km R70 (no medal & no waterpoint)
7.5km – R90, 12.5km – R110, 15km – R120

Timing will be done with Amarider Trail Tags. No tag, no time: available for rent or to buy

GENERAL INFO: Pre-entries will receive discount and a medal to all finishers of the three longer routes! The refreshment station on both routes will have Powerade, fruit & nuts and drinks at the finish for all. The restaurant will be open with lots of yummy food & drink for sale. Stay for the prizegiving & lucky draw and win some of those great wines!

TIMING: Runners will be timed with an Amarider Trail Tag and timing data will be streamed live on www.trailtag.co.za. You can purchase a permanent Trail Tag at R100 which you will use at monthly Trail Run events. If you have a Trail Tag from previous events please bring it along to registration.

Runners also have the option of renting a temporary Amarider Trail tag at R15 and will be given to you at registration with your racenumber. The temporary tag will be taken off at the finish line.

Remember NO Trail Tag - NO Time. Late entries must remember that the file must still be captured & loaded - so your name will appear later.

Wear the tag around your right wrist like a watch. Not around your ankle please.

IMPORTANT!
1. Only run with your own TrailTag
2. Please return your rental tags at the finishline, staff will assist
3. The reader is powerful enough to read through arm warmers etc.

A briefing will take place 5 minutes before the start - runners must stay on the marked trail or will be disqualified. Listen to the briefing at the start which route to follow. Do not turn unless there is an arrow. Follow signs in front of you!

Please do not litter! We also urge you to not leave valuables in your vehicle. We can keep car keys at the Trail Centre for you.
