Celebrate the final sunset of 2024 with a glass of bubbly in hand! Muratie wine farm is extending trail hours for this special New Year’s Eve event, but spots are limited, so booking is essential. Starting from the Dirtopia Trail Centre, this guided hike leads you to a lookout point offering breathtaking views of Table Mountain and the Winelands—an ideal way to spend the last evening of the year with friends and family. The scenic 3.5 km circular route takes about 30 to 45 minutes to reach the top, so please arrive by 6:00 PM (latest by 7:15 PM) to ensure you can enjoy the full experience. A glass of Muratie’s Lady Alice MCC awaits you at the summit!
Event Highlights:
- Watch the sun set over the Table Mountain with a glass
- A Muratie wine station at the lookout (Gillooly’s) will offer red and white wines for purchase.
- Feel free to bring a picnic and a blanket to enjoy while you wait for the sunset and moonrise.
Important Details:
Departure: Leave the lookout by 8:30 PM to reach the Trail Centre by 8:30–9:00 PM.
- Farm Closing Time: 10:00 PM.
- What to Bring: Comfortable hiking shoes, warm clothing, a torch, picnic blanket, and any personal snacks.
- Tickets: R165 per adult (includes a glass of MCC); R80 for children under 10 (includes juice).
